Get down

This album started with 'Barbara Ann' and 'Vincent', a tribute to my friendsMaciej and Marta Kulaszewski who just had twins in the September 2023 and named them Barbara and Vincent!. I was still suffering from my pulmonary embolism but was able to have enough breath to sing and record in the ensuing weeks. It turned out to be a great selection of differing tracks, from George Formby's 'Mother what'll I do now?' to Don't stand so close to me' originally recorded by the Police. 'Barbara Ann' then made me record another Beach Boys hit 'Help me Rhonda'. Two Gilbert O'Sullivan trakjs are covered, 'Matrimony' and 'Get down' the title of the album. The iconic 'Baker Street' by Gerry Rafferty turned out quite well, and the usual splrinkle of Elvis with 'Marguerita', 'Little Egypt' and 'Pocketful of rainbows'. Enjoy these and the other tracks.

To play the tracks, use the links to the tracks at the bottom of the page also, so you can just click the track names one by one to listen to the songs. I had given up on the widgets but the kind lady Alexandra at Elfsight allowed me to have some more widgets for free so the result is the fabulous jukebox below. They were also brilliant with their customer service, thank you very much. I would also like to thank the brilliant Leo from Muga Beats whose website I stumbled upon, which helped me create the accompaniment to some of the songs. A great service and wonderful customer service. Thank you.
