One more arrow

Welcome to 2022, let us hope this is better than the last two stuck as prisoners of Covid. I am sure everyone is as fed up as me of all this madness. Nevertheless, it has made me record more music, and I have managed to do some aerobatics, so all is well. The name of the album is taken from a song, 'One more arrow' an Elton John original, which I played a lot when my Dad was losing his battle with lung cancer, and finally passed away in July 1988. Another Elton John song 'Emily', also on this album, made me think of my Mum, who also lost her battle with life in August 2014. It may sound dreary, but music always helped me through most things. Happier tunes include 'Rubber ball' originally recodered by Bobby Vee, plus the jolly 'Itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini' by Brian Hyland. Other highlights include my cover of' 'Something's gotten hold of my heart' by Gene Pitney, 'Durban deep' and 'Angeline' are more Elton John numbers, the usual Elvis track 'My wish came true' and the Buggles great number 'Video killed the radio star'. Hope you enjoy these and the rest of the tracks.
